What is a Friend of the Backcounty?
Dollars matter, but equally important we want to build a strong, engaged community … our Friends.
Environmental education is the foundation of all Backcountry Wilderness Area programs. Inviting curious children, interested adults, and people who find themselves with varying degrees of knowledge on the environment and conservation is a key part of engaging people in the forever conservation of the Backcountry Wilderness Area and wild places like it.
